Hertha Berlin have confirmed the signing of Dedryck Boyata from Celtic.
Boyata played 32 times for the Scottish champions this season, but has struggled with a niggling knee injury.
That hasn’t worried Hertha though, who have confirmed that the Belgium international has joined on a “long-term contract”.
Speaking to their official website, the defender said: “I am pleased that the deal has worked out.
“It is an ambitious club and we have similar goals. Also, I was very impressed with Michael Preetz’ efforts to bring me here.
“I am looking forward to the new season and want to achieve something with the club.”
