Declan Rice and David Moyes clean up at London Football Awards

Despite Chelsea’s rule over Europe, Declan Rice and David Moyes defeated their Blues counterparts to take home top honours at the 2022 London Football Awards.
Rice, who won the LFA Young Player of the Year award in 2019, defeated Jorginho, Jarrod Bowen, Antonio Rudiger, and Thiago Silva to win the Premier League Player of the Year award.
Moyes, meanwhile, won the Manager of the Year award for the second year running, beating Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira, Thomas Tuchel, Sutton United’s Matt Gray, and Fulham’s Marco Silva.
Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, who’s on loan at Crystal Palace, won the Young Player of the Year prize while Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy earned Goalkeeper of the Year.
Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrović won the EFL Player of the Year award while Chelsea’s Sam Kerr won the FA Women’s Super League Player of the Year.
