Chelsea are closing in on yet another summer signing, according to the latest reports.

It’s been a bit of a dragged out deal this one, but finally the player has reportedly made his decision and chosen to join Chelsea.

According to Fabrizio Romano over night, Inter Milan midfielder Cesare Casadei has agreed personal terms with Chelsea on six year deal. He has decided against joining Nice or Sassuolo, and Chelsea are closing in on deal now.

All that is left is to agree the fee with Inter, and Romano believes that Chelsea’s next official bid will be the right one to complete the deal for €15m plus add-ons.

This carries on Chelsea’s pattern of signing top young talents for now and for the future, having already secured both Carney Chukwuemeka and Gabriel Slonina this window. Slonina was loaned back to Chicago Fire, but Chukwuemeka for now at least, is sticking around the first team and development squads, I suspect Casadei might do the same.
