Dreams sometimes come true. Giacomo De Pieri achieved his in the 76th minute of Inter 3-0 Monaco. The Inter captain scored three goals and then left the field. When the electronic board displayed 10-49, Giacomo De Pieri made his Inter debut, replacing the captain, Lautaro Martinez. Born on 29 December, 2006, and used to unsettling defences for the Primavera side, he made his full-debut for Inter, coming close to a goal in the final minutes. It was an emotional moment for him, something he spoke to Inter TV about after the match.
Giacomo De Pieri has achieved his dream, capitalising on an extraordinary growth path that has seen him play a leading role in every youth category. Arriving at Inter in 2020, the young Nerazzurri striker has always left his mark with quality plays seasoned with goals and assists and earning a starring role in every team he has played in. His talent had already exploded last season when, as an underage player, he made his Primavera debut in the September 2023 match against Torino. De Pieri has never ceased to shine: he propelled the Under-18 side all the way to the finals, just as he did with the Under-17s the year before. This season, however, he has been absolutely ruthless in the Primavera. With 25 appearances, 7 goals and 8 assists across all competitions, he has established himself as a key player. His style of play is as simple as it is effective: he starts out wide on the right in the attacking trio, and then centres and exploits his refined left foot. Whether with a goal or an assist, his game vision and technical quality are already top class. Now we see his big leap into top-class football.
