Charles De Ketelaere’s opener against his former side Milan continued his brilliant moment of form at Atalanta, as he has now scored five goals and provided nine assists across all competitions this season.

However, the Belgium international’s start to the season was just the continuation of a brilliant year overall, as only two Premier League stars contributed to scoring a goal more times than him in 2024 across all competitions in the major European leagues.

De Ketelaere’s goal involvements in 2024 only overcome by Chelsea and Liverpool stars

The midfielder’s goal against the Rossoneri means the 23-year-old reached 31 goal involvements for La Dea throughout the calendar year, having scored 15 goals and provided 16 assists.

15 & 16 – Charles De Ketelaere is only one of the three players to have scored 15+ goals and provided 15+ assists (15G+16A) in 2024 in the five major European leagues in all competitions, alongside with Mohamed Salah (24G+18A) and Cole Palmer (26G+15A). As reported by Opta, he’s only one of three players to have found the net at least 15 times and assisted at least 15 goals in the same period, as only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer racked up more goal contributions, 46 and 41 respectively.

The midfielder shockingly failed to score a single goal in 40 appearances in all competitions during his previous experience at Milan, while he has already netted 19 times from 70 competitive games played at Atalanta
