De Bruyne voted Etihad Player of the Month | OneFootball

Kevin De Bruyne has won the first Etihad Player of the Month award for the 2020/21 season.

The Belgian playmaker scoops the September award after seeing off the challenge of Kyle Walker and Phil Foden after an impressive start to the new campaign.

De Bruyne, who enjoyed arguably his best season yet in 2019/20, looks set to continue his ascent as one of the best attacking midfielders in world football.

Last term he equalled Thierry Henry’s Premier League assists record and won a clutch of top honours including the coveted PFA Player of the Year award, Premier League Player of the Season, UEFA Midfielder of the Season and was voted the Etihad Player of the Year by City fans for the third time.

KDB has played 227 times for City so far, scoring 58 goals.
