Kevin De Bruyne was withdrawn from Manchester City’s match against Inter Milan on Wednesday with an injury concern, ahead of Sunday’s match at home to Arsenal.

Manchester City took on Inter Milan at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night, with Kevin De Bruyne named in the starting lineup for the home side.

But De Bruyne appeared to be struggling with an injury towards the end of the first half, and he was ultimately replaced at half time.

After the game, Pep Guardiola stayed vague on De Bruyne’s injury, saying: “I’ll have more info on his condition on Thursday.”

When asked if De Bruyne would be back to face Arsenal, Guardiola answered: “We’ll see from tomorrow.”

It’s possible that Guardiola already knows whether or not De Bruyne will be fit for the Arsenal game, and he’s just trying to keep Mikel Arteta guessing. Arteta did the same thing himself with Martin Odegaard and the Tottenham Hotspur match.

But given De Bruyne did at least manage to complete the half before coming off, it also might just be unclear how bad the injury is.

City will definitely be without Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb for the Arsenal match, with both players ruled out until later this year.
