The Spaniard was first to react to David Silva’s blocked shot on the edge of the box, smashing an unstoppable effort on the half volley into the roof of Nick Pope’s net for City's third.

And Kevin De Bruyne, who also picked up the November award for his goal away to Newcastle, unleashed a similarly ferocious strike to open the scoring in our 3-0 win at Arsenal two weeks later.

The Belgian latched on to Gabriel Jesus’ cutback and, without breaking stride, expertly side-footed into the top corner… once Raheem Sterling had quickly ducked out of the way!

The City pair are up against Jack Grealish, Xherdan Shaqiri, Son Heung-Min, Michael Obafemi, Jordan Ayew and Aaron Mooy for the award.
