Day 2 of performance diagnostics on Tuesday | OneFootball

Another sweat-inducing day followed on Tuesday as Borussia Dortmund's players completed the second part of their performance diagnostics in preparation for the 2022/23 season.

On Monday, the players kicked off the new season as they were put through the first medical examinations and athletics tests at the Institute for Sports and Sports Science at TU Dortmund. "I'm delighted it's starting up again. It's a good way to start here," explained Mats Hummels. "I find it very exciting to see everything that can be tested, the details that can be worked on." Proceedings continued at the Dortmund-Brackel training ground on Tuesday as the players went to their limit by completing a lactate test (among other things), which is used to determine stamina levels. "There's huge excitement for tomorrow," said Mo Dahoud.

That's because on Wednesday, the players can finally get back to doing what they love most: kicking a ball about on the pitch. The first team training session of the season on 29/06 (approx. 16:00 CET) at the youth stadium in Brackel is open to the public. Further info can be found here.
