Bayern Munich faced off against Dynamo Kyiv at the Olympic Stadium in Kyiv as they looked to pick up maximum points on the road. The Bavarian giants made a bright start to the game and took the lead in the 14th minute courtesy of Roberto Lewandowski’s brilliant overhead finish. Kingsley Coman doubled the away team’s advantage in the 42nd minute with a clinical strike as the Munich outfit raced to a 2-0 lead at the half-time break.

Dynamo Kyiv pulled a goal back in the 70th minute courtesy of Denys Harmash’s goal. However, Bayern hung on to their narrow lead and managed to grind out a 2-1 victory in this UEFA Champions League group stage game earlier tonight.

GK: Manuel Neuer – 7/10

The German keeper made a few solid saves to restrict the home side to just one goal. However, there was no clean sheet for him.

RB: Benjamin Pavard – 6.5/10

The French full-back cleared the danger when needed and was defensively solid during the game. But his impact was minimal in the final third.

CB: Tanguy Nianzou – 7/10

He made quite a few important interceptions inside his half. He was also strong in the air and passed the ball accurately during his time on the field.

CB: Lucas Hernandez – 7/10

Hernandez didn’t put a foot wrong in the game defensively but got substituted at half-time.

LB: Alphonso Davies – 8/10

The Canadian speedster performed his defensive duties well and completed a lot of excellent dribbles down the left flank. He even created two good chances in the opposition half.

CM: Corentin Tolisso – 7/10

Tolisso anchored the midfield with conviction and picked up a good assist for setting up Coman’s goal in the first half.

CM: Leon Goretzka – 7.5/10

He offered some decent protection for his teammates at the back and had a couple of lively moments going forward.

RW: Kingsley Coman – 7.5/10

Coman took his goal well just before the half-time interval which put some daylight between the two sides.

CAM: Thomas Muller – 6/10

The German attacker made one good chance in the final third but offered very little otherwise during the game.

LW: Leroy Sane – 6/10

The ex-Manchester City talent struggled to influence the game in the Dynamo Kyiv half. He got replaced in the 87th minute.

ST: Robert Lewandowski – 7.5/10

The Polish striker gave his team the lead with an excellent overhead kick just 14 minutes into the game. He also made two encouraging runs with the ball.
