After two underwhelming seasons at Chelsea, it appears that Davide Zappacosta’s time at Stamford Bridge has come to an end.
With Reece James slated to be the back-up to first-choice right-back Cesar Azpilicueta, there seems to be no place for the 27-year-old.
According to Italian outlet TMW, Zappacosta’s agent Alessandro Lucci has held talks with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia over a potential move.
The Italy international has been linked to both Roma and Sevilla and reportedly only needs to choose his desired destination in order to secure a deal.
Despite paying Torino €25m for his services in 2017, Zappacosta was limited to just four Premier League appearances last season, with 90 of his 125 total minutes coming in the final match of the season.
