The end of the season means that Stade de Reims can openly begin their search for a new manager after they fired Will Still three weeks before the final game of their Ligue 1 campaign.
According to Foot Mercato, Reims will look to cast a wide net as they search for the replacement of a manager who at one stage in the season appeared to be on the precipice of turning the squad into challengers for a European place.
As was previously reported, Luka Elsner figures high on that list, with Reims willing to buy him out of the remaining year of his contract with Le Havre AC. However, the Slovenian head coach is also joined by various different profiles.
Former Lille OSC and Tottenham Hotspurs assistant, João Sacramento could be an option for the club, as could Carlo Ancelotti’s son and assistant, Davide Ancelotti. The younger Ancelotti has long been appreciated in Reims.
However, Joël Magnin of BSC Young Boys is reaching the end of his contract with the Swiss club and could be an option, while finally, Miron Muslić rounds out the list with the manager impressing in Belgium with Cercle Brugge.
