As much has come across spells at all of Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton and now, the aforementioned Real.

Though he is yet to hold a head coaching role, the 34-year-old is held in high regard behind the scenes in Madrid, with his tactical and personal skills alike of an impressive standard.

In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to hear that, down the line, Ancelotti is hopeful of following in his father’s footsteps, by way of a career in management.

Not only that, but the former AC Milan youth talent has his sights set on the bench at none other than Real Madrid.

Speaking in an interview with France Football, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, on Sunday, Davide Ancelotti was drawn on his future aspirations.

And the Italian went on to explain that:

“We signed (at Real Madrid) until 2026. We have many young players and the possibility of having a very strong team in the coming years. I want to start my career as a head coach but I know that I am at the best club in the world, the best place to grow. There is no set date. It will also depend on the offers. I am happy here, my family lives here, my wife is Spanish, I am close to my father… You never know. The challenge does not scare me, the goal is to become head coach here one day.”
