David Silva and Yaya Toure are among the nominees for this season’s Premier League Hall of Fame. The pair are among the 15 nominees for the prestigious honour. They are both in contention for positions in the Hall of Fame when the two inductees are announced on the 22nd of April.

David Silva and Yaya Toure both made integral contributions to Manchester City and the Premier League. The pair were two players who were crucial in Manchester City’s rise to becoming the dominant force in English football we see today. With their contrasting styles of play, they were both crucial contributors in the City midfield at the beginning of City’s era of dominance. Alongside Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany, Joe Hart, and Pablo Zabaleta, the pair were key in leading Manchester City to domestic dominance.

The Spanish midfielder is regarded as one of the greatest players to ever play in the Premier League. The Spanish midfielder rightfully sits among the greatest players to ever grace the Premier League.

Yaya Toure was a powerhouse midfielder who lifted City with his power, skill, and his will to win. During his Premier League career with the world champions, he made 230 appearances, adding 59 goals and 32 assists. Toure was a player with a rare combination of power and elegance. His 2013/2014 season is one of the most dominant in Premier League history and was a key factor in Manchester City’s title triumph that season.
