David Raya has won the 2023/24 Premier League Golden Glove after Arsenal's 3-0 win over Bournemouth took his clean sheet tally for the campaign to 15.

Raya already had one hand on the award before the game as his closest competitor, Everton's Jordan Pickford, could have matched his tally of 14, but the Toffees only have two games left to play and so the Gunners stopper can no longer be caught at the top of the standings.

The award caps off a fine individual campaign for Raya, who shook off some nervy form early in the season and ended up looking truly unbeatable at times in 2024.

Raya did not play a game until the fifth round of fixtures, having been left out of the Brentford squad on the opening weekend before spending the first three matches of his Arsenal tenure behind Aaron Ramsdale in the pecking order.

A 1-0 win over Everton marked Raya's first Premier League outing for Arsenal and he would end 2023 with five clean sheets to his name.

However, a run of ten clean sheets from 15 appearances saw Raya fly to the top of the standings as Arsenal established themselves as the main challengers to Manchester City's Premier League crown.

Raya is still only on loan at Arsenal but the Gunners are expected complete a permanent deal to secure the 28-year-old's services this summer, despite Mikel Arteta suggesting a transfer is far from a certainty before the Bournemouth game.

"Those conversations are for after the season. We will review where we are," Arteta said.

"Obviously, we are really happy with David and everything he has brought to the club and the team, there is no question about it. But, those decisions are taken by all of us at the club and we will see."
