Watford face one of their most difficult assignments of the season so far tomorrow, as they take on Leicester City at Vicarage Road.

The Foxes came out on top in the reverse fixture and it wouldn't be a surprise to see them complete the double over the Hornets, who need points on the board in their quest to remain in the promotion mix.

Their lack of wins in recent times has been a setback for Valerien Ismael's side, although they can be pleased with their achievements so far this season, with the club achieving some impressive results.

However, that may all count for nothing if they fail to capitalise on the work that has been done, with a top-six finish needed to give themselves a shot of getting back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, following a disappointing 2022/23 season.

Leicester, unlike the Hornets, probably won't have to go through the torture of the play-offs if they secure a top-six spot, with the Foxes well on their way to winning the Championship title after Ipswich Town's recent wobble.

Enzo Maresca's side still have plenty to do if they are to finish first, but they are in a very strong position at the moment and it would be a massive shock if they don't win the league at this point.

Still having a chance of beating Reading's 106-point record, they have something to aim for, although the priority at this point has to be sealing a place in the top flight after being relegated at the end of last season.

The Hornets have won just one of their last seven league games and this has been costly for them as they looked to climb into the play-offs and stay there.

With this, Leicester must be the clear favourites to win this game, with the Foxes showing their worth both at home and on the road.

And the visitors could have enough attacking firepower to secure a win at Vicarage Road, with David Prutton predicting a 3-1 win for Maresca's men in his Sky Sports column.

For the Foxes, there are plenty of players who can make a difference.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been a prolific scorer and assister this term, so he may get himself on the scoresheet.

Patson Daka has also been a real asset in recent months - and his scoring rate this term shouldn't go under the radar.

Others including Stephy Mavididi and Abdul Fatawu can also contribute, so it would be a very long game for the Hornets.
