Cardiff City will be looking to get back to winning ways when they welcome Luton Town to South Wales this evening.

Steve Morison’s side have not scored in their last three matches, however, the standard of performance has been at a good level over the last few weeks.

Tonight’s visitors have picked up four points from the last two games, putting in two good performances against Swansea City and Sheffield United respectively.

With both teams believing that they have what is necessary to mount a push for the top six this season, tonight’s contest could prove to be a tight one.

Issuing his score prediction via his Sky Sports column, David Prutton expects a close affair, going for a 1-1 draw.

The verdict

It is no surprise that Prutton has gone down the middle as there are a fair number of reasons why both teams will feel like they can be victorious, and subsequently, both managers will be eyeing up three points at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Cardiff have put in some decent performances over the last few weeks, and whilst they are not fully firing in front of goal, it does appear that it is only a matter of time.

The Hatters have proven to be very difficult to beat at times away from home under Nathan Jones, with their recent 2-0 victory at Swansea City continuing the trend from last season.

A 1-1 draw does seem to be a fair assessment ahead of tonight’s clash, although three points is very much achievable for both.
