It had looked last term as if David Luiz was no longer wanted in west London, with former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte ostracising the central defender after signing Antonio Rüdiger and promoting Andreas Christensen.
With the former Juventus boss given his marching orders, however, new tactician Maurizio Sarri has revitalised the 31-year-old’s career by starting him in every game so far.
As such, the Mirror report that Luiz is keen to stay with the Blues and will discuss new terms with the club soon.
The big-haired defender’s current contract runs out next summer and Chelsea are looking to tie the South American down for at least another two seasons.
