After a 14-month exile from professional football, David de Gea is set to make his long-awaited comeback with Italian giants Fiorentina.
The 33-year-old has been out of the game since leaving Manchester United in June 2023 following the expiration of his contract at Old Trafford.

But Fiorentina have now announced that he has landed in Tuscany as he prepares to put pen to paper on a deal at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
De Gea is set to sign a one-year contract with the Viola, which includes the option for a further season.
The Spaniard rebuffed offers from LaLiga, Saudi Arabia, the Premier League and elsewhere in Italy before opting to finally pick up his gloves again and return to the game with Fiorentina.
