Even David Beckham is subject to being pranked from loved ones.

While on holiday in Seville, the Inter Miami CF owner received a peculiar gift from his wife Victoria, a Manchester City shirt emblazoned with the name he hates more than life itself: Dave.

Of course, Beckham is a Manchester United legend, scoring 85 goals in 354 games over his career before moving to Real Madrid.

He has long let his hatred for his Manchester rivals be known, claiming there’s ‘only one team in Manchester’.

“They’re bringing good players in, they’ve got strong people with a lot of money behind them, so they’re going to improve,” he said eight years ago, per Goal.

“But they’ll never be Manchester United. They might be a threat this season, but United have got the history, the silverware over the last 20 years.

“There’s only one team in Manchester, but City I’m sure will be a team to look at going forward.”

Judging by Victoria Beckham’s post, it appears that James Corden had something to do with it.

It’s worth noting that just a few months ago, Corden hilariously coordinated an epic stunt that nearly had Beckham in tears.

Beckham was set to be honoured with a statue commemorating his time with Los Angeles Galaxy.

The Manchester United legend went to go check it out just before it’s unveiling, however, Corden and his team managed to make the most hideous statue which sent Beckham to the edge.

Luckily, it was just a fake and nobody was harmed in the making of the film.
