As expected, Roma will say goodbye to Leandro Paredes, with reports Boca Juniors will activate the release clause for €3.5m on Monday.
The midfielder had been courted for several months by his former club for what will be an emotional return to Argentina.
The 31-year-old has been in Europe since 2014, playing for Chievo, Roma, Empoli, Zenit St. Petersburg, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and then back to Roma in 2023.

His contract runs to June 2026, but Italian sources suggest the release clause worth €3.5m is really more of a gentleman’s agreement than a written option.
Boca Juniors informed the Giallorossi that they were ready to pay that sum and the move should be completed on Monday, according to Argentine newspaper Ole via Tuttomercatoweb.
The timing is crucial, because Roma need to make €15m in sales by the end of play on June 30 to avoid failing Financial Fair Play requirements.
Paredes will sign a three-and-a-half-year contract with Boca Juniors.
