Date confirmed for Chelsea’s FA Cup fourth round tie vs Aston Villa amid scheduling restrictions | OneFootball

Chelsea will face Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday 26th January 2024 at 7.45pm (UK time).

Mauricio Pochettino‘s side welcome Unai Emery’s team to Stamford Bridge for a night fixture in the capital later this month after the draw was made earlier this week.

Villa have already beaten Chelsea this season, winning 1-0 in west London thanks to Ollie Watkins’ winner after Malo Gusto was sent off.

The fixture has been scheduled for the Friday night due to the fixtures surrounding the FA Cup weekend. It has not currently been chosen for UK television broadcast.

As a result of Fulham being involved in the Carabao Cup semi-final the previous Wednesday and facing Newcastle United at home in the fourth round, while Villa play in the Premier League the following Tuesday, the 26th was the only available date.
