West Bromwich Albion will be looking to get back on track in the Championship tomorrow when they face Peterborough United at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies’ inconsistent run of form at this level continued last weekend as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of promotion rivals Queens Park Rangers.

Former West Brom striker Charlie Austin scored what turned out to be the winning goal for the R’s in the 89th minute of this fixture.

Currently seven points adrift of the automatic promotion places in the Championship, West Brom will need to step up their performance levels in the coming weeks if they are to launch a push for a top-two finish.

Having witnessed his side’s performance against QPR, Baggies boss Valerien Ismael may opt to make some alterations to his team on Saturday.

Here, we have decided to take a look at how West Brom could line up against Peterborough…

Having deployed the 3-4-3 formation against QPR, Ismael may decide to stick with this system tomorrow.

With Sam Johnstone set to serve the final game of his suspension this weekend, David Button is likely to make his fourth appearance of the season against Peterborough.

Matt Clarke will feature at centre-back and could be accompanied by Kyle Bartley in this particular role if the defender is deemed fit enough to feature by Ismael.

Cedric Kipre could also return to West Brom’s starting eleven after recently picking up a red card in the club’s FA Cup defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Conor Townsend and Darnell Furlong will occupy the wing-back positions whilst Jayson Molumby will start in central-midfield alongside Jake Livermore who has made 22 appearances for the Baggies in all competitions during the current campaign.

Has former West Brom player Rekeem Harper ever played in the Premier League?

Yes No

Whereas Karlan Grant and Callum Robinson are both likely to retain their places in West Brom’s side on Saturday, Matt Phillips could make way for Daryl Dike.

Dike, who managed to find the back of the net on nine occasions for Barnsley at this level last year, made his debut for the Baggies last weekend as he was brought on as a substitute during the club’s defeat to QPR.

Whilst he was unable to make an instant impact for West Brom in this fixture, the forward may fancy his chances of scoring against a Peterborough side who have only managed to keep three clean-sheets in the second-tier this season.

Providing that Dike is able to hit the ground running at The Hawthorns, he could play a major role in the club’s quest to secure an immediate return to the Premier League.
