Dante Vanzeir is currently one of the most inform strikers in the Belgian Pro League, with four goals in his last four games. Speaking in an interview with Het Nieuwsblad, the striker was asked on his chances of making it into Roberto Martinez World Cup squad. He replied “You can always hope, but I prefer to remain realistic. If Martinez needs me, I’ll be ready to give it my all. For now, I’ll just keep working as hard as I can with the team”.

The 24 year-old Union St Gilloise striker has been capped once by his country during World Cup Qualifying last season. During the 2021/22 season, Vanzeir scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists. This season he currently has five goals and two assists, which included his two goals against KV Oostende at the weekend.
