In an interview with Sky Sport, Roma boss Daniele De Rossi reaffirmed the team’s objectives for the season.

On the eve of the match with Bayer Leverkusen, De Rossi remarked, “Since we arrived, we have averaged 2 points in the league. If we had 70 points, we would be safe in the Champions League and we could abandon the league and only think about the Europa League. We can’t do it but I also can’t say that my team is used to winning only in Europe, my path has also been positive in the league.”

“Tensions with Lega Serie A? Satisfying everyone is difficult, but sometimes it seems strange that we, as an Italian team in Europe, as Italian pride in Europe, are not being considered by Serie A. But I don’t want to make a conspiracy.”

“The only strange thing is that a date was not found while for another match a date was found at the end of the league. For the rest, we have to think about the field and try to improve there.”

“Are former midfielders the best at coaching? Perhaps, the midfielder is in the heart of the game, he must know how to work both offense and defense. We are always inside the game and can be more stimulated in the two phases. Maybe it’s this or maybe it’s a coincidence.”
