Daniele de Rossi likely to be Roma manager next season | OneFootball

Serie A giants Roma currently have Daniele de Rossi on an initial interim deal but it seems as if the Italian is likely to be their manager next season as well.

De Rossi has certainly impressed in his time as manager, having lost to only Inter and having taken Roma to what is a Champions League spot right now. They have also gone past Feyenoord in the Europe League to reach the knockout stages of the competition.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have stated that the Friedkins are convinced about De Rossi and they now see a future with him. There is a general agreement that he would be the manager next season, with the relationship between the Friedkins and De Rossi said to be very strong and still improving.

Formal documentation will take time but the likelihood is that his stay will be renewed. Friedkins want to hand him a two-year deal, with his current six-month deal to expire at the end of the season.

The relationship is also helped by the fact that De Rossi knows fluent English and that has helped his communication with the Friedkins. Not just that, but the former midfielder also has an excellent relationship with the rest of the management.
