Roma boss Daniele De Rossi discussed tonight’s return leg with Milan in the Europa League quarterfinals as well as the club’s announcement of his imminent long-term deal.

In his pre-match interview with Sky Sport, De Rossi commented, “The announcement? It means that I am here to stay and continue serving as Roma’s head coach. It’s also a way of saying that not everything depends on tonight. For me it’s a huge confidence boost.”

“My staff and I convinced the President in 3 months and doing so before this match is a gigantic demonstration of trust. I haven’t had time to celebrate this announcement because my mind is only focused on Milan.”

“Tonight we will want to control possession and play well, but obviously we will not able to do it at all times because Milan are an excellent team that plays very well, too. We can’t think about the advantage that we hold going into this match. We will have to beware of every move they make.”
