Tottenham Hotspur could be willing to offload a few players to free up space for new additions in the January window, but Richarlison will not be one of them.
The 27-year-old forward has been chased by several Brazilian clubs who are looking to bring him back home in January.
According to a report from Sunday Mirror (page 54), Spurs have rejected several approaches for Richarlison ahead of the winter transfer window.
Richarlison, who is currently out injured with a hamstring injury, has been lined up for a return to his homeland.
Fluminense, Flamengo, Corinthians and Palmeiras are seen as potential suitors should the former Everton attacker become available.
With the squad already depleted by injuries, Daniel Levy has decided not to sell Richarlison during the middle of the campaign.
The 48-times capped Brazilian forward joined Tottenham from Everton in the summer of 2022 for a fee of around £60 million.
He has not been able to reach the heights many had expected from him. Richarlison was a class apart during his time at Watford and Everton, but his time at the north London club has been blighted by injuries.
He scored 12 goals in all competitions last season and reminded everyone that he could still be one of the best in the Premier League if he stays fit.
Richarlison has yet to make a start in the Premier League in 2024/25 and has badly struggled with injury problems.
He can still play a big role for Spurs in the second half of the campaign under Ange Postecoglou, and it’s the right decision to reject offers from Brazilian clubs.
Also, Spurs are not entirely convinced that the Brazilian clubs can come up with the money the club want.
Richarlison has been previously linked with a move to Saudi Pro League clubs, and his future is likely to be reassessed at the end of the campaign.
