The night belonged to Dániel Gazdag and the Philadelphia Union as they routed Colorado Rapids 6-0 thanks in large part to the Hungarian’s hat-trick.

He would get his night started just nine minutes into proceedings, finishing off a beautiful piece of team play.

A little over 10 minutes later, the Union would double their lead as Gazdag converted the first of two Philadelphia penalties on the night.

The Rapids would be down 3-0 when Gustavo Vallecilla was sent off after picking up a second yellow, allowing the Union to further open the floodgates.

Gazdag would finish off his hat-trick in style with a cheeky chip to put the Union up by four and give him his 16th goal of the season, tying the Union single-season record.

Cory Burke and Matthew Real would finish the job late on and extend their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference table.
