Sky Germany reports that Daniel Farke has already held talks with Celtic over their vacant managerial position after Ange Postecoglou joined Tottenham.

Celtic are not the only team interested in Farke, with Leeds United also interested in the former Borussia Mönchengladbach manager. There is nothing advanced with Leeds yet, but this could change within the next week.

Farke is open to taking a new job after being dismissed as Gladbach manager two weeks ago. Farke only spent one season in charge at Gladbach and after a strong start to the season, the club dropped off in October and could not pick up their form.

The former Norwich City coach also failed to give youth players any game time. The likes of Luca Netz were left on the bench for the majority of the season while other squad youth players faced little to no game time. The only academy product to have any sufficient game time was Jan Olschowsky after Gladbach’s two senior keepers at the time both obtained injuries.

The 46-year-old’s previous senior managerial experience came at Norwich where he was able to lead them to the Championship title twice before being relegated from the Premier League each time at the first time of asking.
