Dani Ceballos has rubbished reports that he’s set to leave Real Madrid this summer and join Sevilla.

Stories in several Spanish publications over the weekend claimed that the 22-year-old was on the verge of going to the Andalusian side, with a contract already in place.

But that was denied by Sevilla sporting director Monchi, and has now also been quashed by Ceballos himself, who insists that he is more than happy at Santiago Bernabéu.

“I like Lopetegui, he is a great coach,” he told ABC de Sevilla.

“Interest from Sevilla and Monchi? I do not know, I do not know…I have nothing to say. I have not talked with him. I have said that I want to play 40 games on any team, because it is very important.

“It seems that I signed for Sevilla and it is not like that. I have nothing to say about that. My team is Real Madrid, I have four years of contract and I have nothing with Sevilla.

“The most important thing is that I want a very important path in Real Madrid.”

Ceballos’ path to the Blancos first team looks like a congested one this coming season with Zinedine Zidane’s side having already spent €300m on new talent.
