Barcelona entertained Villarreal at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they looked to bag all three points at home. The Catalans made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 41st minute when Alfonso Pedraza scored with a clinical finish. Barca went into the half-time interval 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Moi Gomez doubled his team’s advantage in the 55th minute with a good finish from close range. The Catalan giants failed to come up with a response and crashed to a 2-0 defeat in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the match against Villarreal.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 6/10

The German custodian made one good save in the game but won’t be pleased after failing to keep a clean sheet in both halves.

RB: Dani Alves – 7/10

He got stuck in with some solid tackles and was quite lively in the opponent’s half.

CB: Ronald Araujo – 6.5/10

Araujo did his fair share of defending but failed to stop the opposition from scoring twice during the 90 minutes.

CB: Clement Lenglet – 6/10

The French talent was a strong presence in the air but struggled to give a good account of himself on the defensive end of the pitch.
