Few players have made the same impact on Barcelona - and football in general - as Dani Alves.

The marauding full-back has enjoyed a ludicrous amount of success throughout his career, establishing himself as the most successful player in the history of the game, with the vast majority of those trophies coming during his time at Camp Nou.

The first La Liga title of Alves' career came in May 2009, when Real Madrid's 3-2 defeat to Villarreal meant Barcelona could no longer be caught at the top of the table. The third-most expensive defender ever at the time of his transfer in 2008, Alves justified that price tag with a stunning debut season that saw him rack up five goals and ten assists in 34 appearances. He proved to the world that he deserved to be playing for one of the game's top teams.

2. Huge volley vs Getafe - 19/03/11

As a defender, Alves doesn't score a lot of goals, but the ones he does pop up with tend to be very, very special.Take this absolute beauty against Getafe in March 2011 as proof of that. Alves strikes this ball with the kind of poise and power that you'd expect from a prolific striker, not a young defender. You don't save those.

3. Lifting the 2010/11 Champions League - 28/05/11

Alves missed the 2009 Champions League final through suspension and was evidently keen to make up for lost time when Barcelona made it back to the showpiece two years later. The Blaugrana travelled to Wembley for a meeting with Manchester United, where they put on one of the most dominant performances in the history of the competition.Goals from Pedro, Lionel Messi and David Villa fired Barcelona to a 3-1 victory and saw Alves finally get his hands on the Champions League trophy.

4. Late screamer vs Mallorca - 29/10/11

One of Alves' finest goals in a Barcelona shirt came in the dying embers of a 5-0 route of Mallorca in October 2011.Having already bagged an assist to allow Messi to complete a first-half hat-trick, Alves stole the show with a thunderous strike from the edge of the box which was destined to be perfect even before it offered the added bonus of a dink in off the bar.In doing so, he became one of only a handful of Barcelona defenders to both score and assist in the same game.

5. Iconic worldie vs Real Madrid 25/01/12

If you ask any Barcelona fan to name their favourite Alves goal of all time, there's a good chance you'll hear about this screamer against Real Madrid time and time again. We're over in the Copa del Rey for this one, specifically the second round of the quarter-final. Barcelona were already 2-1 up from the first leg and needed to see things out at Camp Nou to knock their rivals out.Pedro put Barcelona ahead shortly before half-time, but before the referee could blow his whistle, Alves pulled off this absolutely bonkers strike. Watch and enjoy.

6. Unbelievable assist vs PSG - 02/04/13

Alves would go on to represent PSG after his first spell at Barcelona, with the Ligue 1 side likely just keen to avoid being on the wrong end of assists like this. This beauty came in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against PSG in 2013, and it's say it's one of the best passes the competition has ever seen.Away at the Parc des Princes, Alves pulled off this iconic pass with the outside of his boot which allowed Messi to open the scoring and helped ensure Barcelona would advance on away goals.

7. The famous 2015 Treble - 06/06/15

Hailed as one of the greatest club sides of all time, 2014/15 Barcelona would win no fewer than three trophies, with Alves an integral part of all three. He bagged six assists to steer Barcelona to La Liga glory before chipping in with four in just 11 Champions League games as Alves got his hands on yet another European trophy - either side of lifting the Copa del Rey as well.Alves played his 300th game for the club to kick off the Champions League journey, with Messi the only foreign player to make more for the club.

The fourth round of the Copa del Rey isn't exactly known for memorable moments, but Alves did his best to create one against Villanovense in late 2015.After a surprise 0-0 draw in the first leg away from home, Barcelona wasted little time in setting the record straight at Camp Nou. This long-range piledriver from Alves came after just four minutes.

9. Making his second debut - 14/12/21

When Alves left Barcelona in the summer of 2016, few would have expected to see him back in the Blaugrana stripes five years later. The first signing of the Pep Guardiola era became the first signing of Xavi's reign as well when he sealed his return to Camp Nou in late 2021, with his unofficial debut coming in a friendly against Boca Juniors in December. He'd make his formal return in La Liga action a few weeks later, quickly establishing himself as a key player for Xavi's young side.
