They might be flying in the Champions League, but Ajax are starting to have trouble on the domestic front after a second consecutive goalless draw in the Eredivisie.

Last week the Amsterdam side stuttered on the road at Heracles. This time around Go Ahead Eagles managed to frustrate the defending champions at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

The hosts enjoyed 77% of possession, affording them 29 attempts on goal of which only five hit the target.

Eagles, on the other hand, mustered just two shots, although both of them forced goalkeeper Remko Pasveer into action.

Speaking afterwards, Ajax left-back Blind was fuming at his side’s inability to register their superiority on the scoreboard.

“It’s just outrageous that we don’t win,” he told ESPN (via De Telegraaf).

“If you want to be a champion, you have to beat the little ones. But we don’t do that.”

The 31-year-old was also critical of their complacent start on home turf.

“We should have invested more in runs in the first half. That’s how you tear the opponent’s defence apart,” the Netherlands international said.

“But we had plenty of chances in the second half. They just have to go in.”

The result allowed PSV to move level on points with Ajax at the top of the table, although Erik ten Hag’s charges remain in first place due to a whopping plus 35 goal difference after 12 games.
