Daley Blind is on the path back to first team football after he was diagnosed with a heart condition last month.
Tests revealed the former Manchester United man has a heart muscle inflammation and he hasn’t featured for Ajax since 10 December.
The centre-back has since been fitted with a device to monitor his heart rate and is now working on a return.
“It’s going well,” his father Danny Blind told Ziggo Sport on Saturday.
“He has started his training programme again and is now seeing how that goes and what comes next.”
However, he was less clear on when the 29-year-old could return to competitive action.
“Ultimately, we all have a date in different date in mind. It doesn’t seem wise to say anything about that right now.”
Blind remains a doubt for the Netherlands’ Euro 2020 campaign but will hope to prove his fitness in time to feature.
