According to HLN Sport, Lokeren-Temse have made a shock move for Radja Nainggolan (36). The former Cagliari, AS Roma and Inter Milan midfielder is set to sign with the side battling relegation from the Challenger Pro League.

Nainggolan had been a free agent since last summer, but maintained his fitness with individual training and indoor football. As a favour to a friend, he sometimes played with the indoor club Hassania Mechelen.

Admittedly, the 30-time Belgian international’s career fizzled out following his departure from Royal Antwerp in January 2023. He played half a season at SPAL in Serie C, and had a short-lived stint at Indonesian side Bhayangkara FC.

The man with winners’ medals for both Serie A and the Pro League has welcomed the challenge in East Flanders – having already trained for the first time.
