Cuauhtémoc Blanco will forever be a former legend and has recently told ESPN about his intentions to be a part of the club again, telling the cameras “One day, I’ll be back.”
During the interview, the current Governor of Morelos said: “I would love to be a manager, it was the idea and look what I got myself into (his current stage as Governor and previously as Mayor of Cuernavaca).
“But yes, one day I would love to coach América. Why not? Manage the Mexican National Team, and one day be president of América.”
During his time as a footballer, ‘Temo’ established himself as the second-highest scorer in the history of the ‘Águilas’ with 153 goals.
In addition to being the first Mexican to score in 3 World Cups, he set a record for scoring in 11 official tournaments – a record that has since been broken by Cristiano Ronaldo (12).
