MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continues with CS Herediano against Real España in Group B on Wednesday at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San José, Costa Rica.

CS Herediano returns to the tournament for a third consecutive edition after winning its group and reaching the semifinals in the previous two editions. The Costa Rican club boasts a 7-9-0 record all-time in the CAC.

Winners of the Apertura 2024 and Clausura 2025 seasons, Los Florenses will seek to open its scoring account after starting its season with a goalless draw at Guadalupe FC.

Real España returns to the Central American Cup after participating in the 2023 edition. The Honduran club will seek to advance out of the Group Stage for the first time and improve on a 1-1-2 all-time record.

Off to a 1-0-1 start to the campaign, España will seek to return to winning ways after falling 2-1 away to Platense. Ever Alvarado struck in the most recent encounter and is one of five players to find the back of the net in the early season.

In the 2023 edition, they were rivals in Group C, where CS Herediano won 3-2 on Matchday 3, August 16, 2023, at the Estadio Nacional in San José (CRC).
