Crystal Palace Women sign former Everton defender Katrine Veje

Crystal Palace have signed Denmark international defender Katrine Veje, following her two seasons with Everton.

The 33-year-old has over 160 caps for her country, while her club experience includes also Arsnal, Brondby, Seattle Reign, Montpellier and Rosengård.

Veje told cpfc.co.uk: “I’m super, super happy to join Crystal Palace. It’s a really good project and you can tell the club really want to invest in this women’s team.

“For me, it’s important to come in and feel valuable, and I think it’s going to be a very interesting season.”

Head of Women’s Football Grace Williams added: “We are delighted to add the quality of Kat to our squad ahead of our first season in the Women’s Super League. Her experience at this level is invaluable and will be of great benefit to the team.”
