Crystal Palace target Lens’ Cheick Doucouré

Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reports this afternoon that Premier League side Crystal Palace are looking to bring in a midfielder this summer, with Lens’ Cheick Doucouré and Strasbourg’s Jean-Ricner Bellegarde notably among the targets.

The former has shone this season alongside Séko Fofana in Franck Haise’s midfield, with the 22-year-old making 32 league appearances this season. Lens are hoping to bring in €20m to let him go, with 2 years left on his contract, while German clubs are also looking at him.

Bellegarde has similarly been a key part of Julien Stéphan’s impressive Strasbourg side who are pushing for a place in Europe, having made 34 appearances this season, scoring twice and assisting three goals.
