Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke remains confident of a place in Belgium's Euros squad.
Benteke insists he's happy to work with Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku for the national team. The Palace centre-forward is strictly regarded as cover for Lukaku by Belgium coach Roberto Martinez - and he accepts the situation.
Indeed, Benteke says his responsibility is to be always available and ready for a call should Lukaku be struck by injury.
Speaking with RTBF via TMW, he said, "We don't have to take these choices personally.
"I think I have been efficient every time the coach called me. It is up to me to be ready and show that I can help the team when I play.
"I am one of the experienced players so I will not be able to hide if Romelu is absent. I have to take my responsibilities if they arise."
Benteke, 30, comes off contract at the end of this season with Crystal Palace. The centre-forward so far this season has played 25 times for Palace, scoring six goals and creating one assist.
Meanwhile, Lukaku has enjoyed an outstanding second season with Inter Milan, firing them clear at the top of the Serie A table. So far this term, the Belgium international has scored 25 goals in 34 games, which also include seven assists.
