The Eagles announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this evening.
The 24-year-old joins Crystal Palace following her release by former club North Carolina Courage last month. Gejl had been with the American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side for 18 months, although she spent the second half of last season on loan at French club Montpellier HSC.
Gejl started her career back home in her native Denmark with Varde IF but soon moved to Kolding IF. She then spent three years with Brøndby IF before joining Swedish club BK Häcken in 2021. After two years in the OBOS Damallsvenskan, Gejl opted for a move Stateside with North Carolina Courage.
On the international stage, Gejl has been capped by Denmark on 32 occasions while she has scored seven goals for her country.
After joining Crystal Palace, Gejl said “I’m so excited, I’ve heard so many good things about the club. It’s a massive club, so professional and there’s good people around here.
“I’ve heard such good things about the facilities, the people around the club and to play in the best league in England is another thing that made me want to come here.”
Gejl becomes Crystal Palace’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window.
