According to Fabrizio Romano, Crystal Palace and Borussia Moenchengladbach are tracking Sochaux midfielder Skelly Alvero.

The 20-year-old has made 22 appearances so far this season for Sochaux in the second tier of French football and interest is growing ahead of the summer transfer window.

Romano further claims he could cost between €3-4m after impressing in his breakout season with the promotion hunting Sochaux, who are currently third in the division.

Skelly stands at 6ft 6in tall which would place him as the joint-tallest outfield player in the Premier League should he make the switch to Palace.

The Eagles host Leicester City at Selhurst Park this weekend in a relegation six-pointer before travelling to North Yorkshire the following week to face Leeds United.

Palace sacked manager Patrick Vieira following their 1-0 defeat to rivals Brighton and Hove Albion, leaving them winless in 2023.

Roy Hodgson returned to the club during the international break after being appointed as Vieira’s successor.
