Crystal Palace make offer for Trabzonspor’s Batista Mendy | OneFootball

According to Foot Mercato, Crystal Palace have made an offer to Trabzonspor for Batista Mendy (24). The French defensive midfielder has a contract with the club until 2027 but could be on the move to England this summer with the Premier League side interested in strengthening Oliver Glasner’s squad for the next campaign.

Crystal Palace are currently in discussions with Mendy’s agents and are hopeful that they can complete an agreement in the next few weeks. However, they are not the only team interested in the player, with Foot Mercato reporting that other clubs are interested in a midfielder who has played 35 matches this season, recording one goal and an assist.

The midfielder only moved to Turkey last September after Angers SCO were relegated to Ligue 2 last season. He was reportedly in two minds about joining Trabzonspor last summer with Celta de Vigo intrigued in trying to prize the talented player away from France.
