It would be fair to say Jesurun Rak-Sakyi’s loan spell to Charlton Athletic has been a great success so far.

Joining the League One side on a season-long loan deal from Crystal Palace in the summer, the young winger has been mightily impressive for the Addicks so far this campaign, even despite their struggles.

Indeed, in the league this season, the 20-year-old has appeared 18 times, scoring five goals and registering two assists.

That is an impressive return when you consider this is the youngster’s first foray into regular senior football.

Naturally, though that has attracted eyes and interest from elsewhere.

With that said, below, here are the latest reports on the 20-year-old’s future.

What is the latest?

The latest reports this week have suggested that amid the sacking of Ben Garner and Charlton’s own struggles for form, Crystal Palace are potentially re-assessing Rak-Sakyi’s stay at the Valley.

Has former Charlton man Chris Gunter ever played for a Yorkshire based team?

Yes No

Indeed, there are multiple clubs interested in snapping him up if they do so, too, some in League One and some in the Championship.

Ipswich Town, Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall and Hull City are the names that have emerged so far, which would arguably all represent a step up in some ways.

Since the initial reports broke, the only real update we have had came from TWTD.

They seemed to play down Ipswich’s interest in Rak-Sakyi, stating that he was simply a name on a list that could potentially become a transfer target next month.

At this stage, it is unclear just how much the other aforementioned clubs are interested, so this is certainly a situation to watch closely as the January transfer window approaches.
