Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta is closer to leaving the club this month.
The forward, who signed on an 18 month loan from Mainz last January, has only scored twice in 13 Premier League appearances.

Mateta could be heading to Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1 on loan this month, while Mainz may even take him back for the rest of the term.
According to the Evening Standard, Palace manager Patrick Vieira is eager to add a replacement striker to his squad.
