Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Lens midfielder Cheick Doucouré for a reported £18m.
Doucouré’s arrival will bolster an ageing Crystal Palace midfield, with the Mali international signing a five-year contract in a deal that could rise as high as £22m.
The 22-year-old had a breakout season in the north of France last year, featuring 34 times as Lens finished in seventh place in Ligue 1.
Doucouré becomes manager Patrick Vieira’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Malcolm Ebiowei from Derby and Sam Johnstone on a free transfer.
