Crystal Palace full of confidence after two wins had taken away any threat of relegation and their players desperate to carry on this recent uplift in form, in front of their own supporters.

Two well taken goals in the second half won it for the home side, though a massive penalty shout at 1-0, Longstaff pulled back by Hughes in the penalty area but the match officials refusing to give it.

Looking at the individuals in black and white, interesting to get an independent perspective on how this played out.

Whoscored ratings use data from every single Premier League match, over 200 raw statistics included in the automated calculation of a player’s rating, weighted according to their influence within the game.

Every event of importance is taken into account, with a positive or negative effect on ratings weighted in relation to its area on the pitch and its outcome.’

As you can see, nine of the twenty two players who started the match received a rating of 7.0 or higher.

The only one of those nine playing in black and white was Anthony Gordon (7.0). He never stopped, covering an incredible amount of ground, but he and the other attacking players getting little chance to do their stuff in the other half, as Palace controlled most of the play.

Next best for United in these independent automated ratings was Isak (6.9), similar to Gordon, he tried to make the most of minimal service but it wasn’t to be. Whilst at the back, Burn and Krafth both rated 6.8, which to be fair, I thought that along with Schar (a harsh 6.5) they did pretty well at the back against a lot of pressure.
