The Hammers have been in the market for a wide forward this summer and have looked at a number of players, including Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson.

A move for Summerville is now at an advanced stage, however, with West Ham set to pay £25m plus add-ons for the 22-year-old.

The Dutchman is due to sign a long-term contract with West Ham and undergo a medical in the UK, before potentially flying out to join them on their US tour.

West Ham are over in Florida at the moment and have a game this weekend against Crystal Palace.

Summerville impressed in the Championship last season, scoring 21 goals and laying on nine assists as Leeds reached the play-off final - which they lost to Southampton.

He has been linked with a number of clubs over the past year, including Aston Villa, Fulham and Newcastle - but West Ham have won the race.

The Hammers are hoping to conduct more transfer business this summer, with a new defender and striker on their shopping list.

They are locked in talks with Borussia Dortmund as they push to sign Germany striker Niclas Fullkrug.

The 31-year-old scored twice for his country at Euro 2024 and talks over a fee are ongoing.

The Hammers have turned to Fullkrug after a bid for Jhon Duran was rejected by Aston Villa.

West Ham retain interest in the Colombia forward, but a deal for Fullkrug is now being explored as an alternative.

Fullkrug joined Dortmund for £12.6m last August, after four years at Werder Bremen, and scored 16 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions.
