The Croatia vs Cyprus 2022 World Cup UEFA qualifying match will be broadcast live online and on TV as the Blazers host the islanders at Stadion HNK Rijeka this Saturday, March 26, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific.
Croatia suffered a surprising 1-0 defeat to Slovenia in the first matchday of the UEFA World Cup qualifiers. The Blazers ended the match with 70-percent possession on the day, but were unable to get past goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
Croatia has a very strong team, especially in the midfield with players like Luka Modric, Marcelo Brozovic and Mateo Kovacic. The attack also has a lot of experience and talent with players like Ivan Perisic and Andrej Kramaric.
However, players like Ante Budimir and Josip Brekalo were on the bench in the game against Slovenia as it will be interesting to see if manager Zlatko Dalic changes up his lineup. Defensively against Cyprus, Croatia is set with the experienced centre-back pairing of Domagoj Vida and Dejan Lovren.
Cyprus fared well against Slovakia in its first qualifying match as the islanders were able to secure a point. Cyprus has a very limited squad in comparison to Croatia, but they will be motivated after pulling off an unlikely result against Slovakia.
